Tabassum Hena, a 3-year-old girl, was taken to my clinic by her parents on 6th February 2014 for ‘syncope’ or ‘loss of consciousness’ that had occurred repeatedly for over 2 years. It began with a tumble from the bed when she was 5 or 6 months old. She has experienced frequent syncope since a small fall. During that time, they saw three or four paediatricians, but to no avail. Instead, they suspected hydrocephalus and suggested that she be sent to Kolkata for better care. However, they consented to a homoeopathic trial at at the request of some friends, and she was brought to my clinic.
I discovered these homeopathic symptoms:
- She was concerned that something bad would occur in the dark [Anxiety in darkness].
- She couldn’t tolerate a storm with thunder and lightning [Fear of thunderstorms].
- She was extremely stubborn and wouldn’t alter her viewpoint [Stubborn kid].
- She enjoyed salty dishes and eggs.
The symptoms mentioned above solely suggest calcarea carbonica, so I recommended calcarea carb 30/6 doses to be taken three times a day for 2 days, followed by Nihilinum 30 for a month. Since then, she has not experienced any syncope, and now she is completely well and lives a normal, healthy life.
