A father brought an epileptic patient to me on 22nd March 1997. She was 18 years of age. She has experienced repeated seizures since she was a child. The convulsion would start at night as the patient was falling asleep. She had received treatment for 5 years using various types of medications, but the outcome was only partial. She experienced convulsions two to three times in a month rather than every day. However, when they discontinued the medication, the symptoms returned as they had previously.
- The patient experienced convulsions during initial nighttime sleep, which was followed by deep sleep after the convulsions.
- She was afraid of thunderstorms.
- She let out a loud, high scream before the seizure attack, meaning she shrieked abruptly.
- Menstrual cycles were inconsistent, enduring two to three days, dark in colour, and causing discomfort.
Considering the above symptoms, I recommended Lachesis 200/6 doses on 22nd March 1997, followed by Nihilinum for two weeks. At first, the issue began to worsen. Feeling perplexed, they contacted me for prompt assistance on 1st April 1997. I recommended a placebo treatment for 2 weeks.
April 14, 1997: The patient experienced improvement after using the medication.
June 21, 1997: She was improved in all areas, but she experienced two mild convulsions in a month. I recommended Lachesis 200/6 doses for 2 days, then Nihilinum for 2 months.
September 10, 1997: The epileptic seizures continued once or twice monthly, so I recommended Lachesis 1m/6 doses, followed by placebo. In this manner, I was required to give the medication for two and a half years with a significant interval. The final medication prescribed was on 27th September 1999, which was Lachesis 50m/6 doses, accompanied by placebo for a duration of one month. Gradually, throughout an extended timeframe, she was healed. Following two years of treatment, she experienced no convulsions, although I requested that she should maintain her medication for an additional six months, which she did. Recently, she approached me with another patient and shared that she has had no issues since the last medication.
